Casa Adobe aims to be a community space in which diverse people meet and learn to live together as citizens of Santa Rosa, Costa Rica. We as a community are caring for creation, building justice-centered relationships, and nourishing our faith in a God of love and justice. We are like adobes: Made of clay, imperfect, only strong when a Master unites us, and in need of constant retouching. At the same time, together, we grow in joyful hope that it is possible to embody our dreams and yours.

At Casa Adobe we are people living together from very different nationalities, social backgrounds, abilities, emotions and hopes. We are united by the dream of responding to God’s love through concrete expressions of love for neighbor. Casa Adobe gives us a space to grow in harmony with God, with our land and with our fellow humans. There are many barriers that we must overcome. And we need perseverance and patience to respect each person’s ideas, beliefs and ways of being. On that path we go, begging that Jesus Christ, the supreme reconciler, would open our minds and hearts to unite us as bricks of adobe like what occurs in the construction of an adobe house.
